Together, We Can Change Lives
In Nigeria, the alarming education crisis leaves over 10.5 million children—predominantly from low-income families—without access to basic education. This dire situation makes Nigeria the global leader in out-of-school children, with 1 in 5 children missing out on education due to socio-economic challenges, insecurity, and insufficient infrastructure.
A Call for Action: The CEBECPEN Initiative
The Centre for Behavioural Change and Public Enlightenment (CEBECPEN) is launching an urgent education support program aimed at transforming the futures of indigent out-of-school children. Together, we can bridge the gap and provide these children with the educational opportunities they deserve.
Why This Matters
Education is not just a privilege; it’s a fundamental human right. However, for countless children in Nigeria, barriers such as poverty, inadequate resources, and socio-economic instability hinder their education journey. This cycle needs to be broken. By investing in the education of disadvantaged children, we can foster social mobility, inspire hope, and contribute to national development.
Our Program Objectives
1. Access to Quality Education: Providing scholarships, educational materials, and financial support for school-related needs to ensure no child is left behind.
2. Community Engagement: Raising awareness about the importance of education to encourage parental involvement and support.
3. Capacity Building for Educators: Offering training and professional development for teachers to enhance educational quality in underserved areas.
4. Psychosocial Support: Providing counseling for children facing trauma or barriers to learning, helping them overcome challenges.
5. Advocacy and Policy Development: Working with policymakers to develop inclusive policies that address the educational needs of marginalized children.
How We Will Make It Happen
